Joanna "JoJo" Levesque[]

Joanna Noëlle Blagden Levesque, professionally known as JoJo, is an American pop/R&B singer and actress. She plays Soledad Braunstein in G.B.F.

Early Years[]

Joanna was born on December 20th, 1990 in Brattleboro, Vermont. She was later raised in Keene, New Hampshire and Foxborough, Massachusetts. Her parent's divorced when she was four years old, and she was predominantly raised by her mother.

As a child, She started singing when she was two years and three months old by imitating various styles of music. She performed on several talent and daytime Television shows under the name "Jojo", which was a childhood nickname.

Music[]

At the age of thirteen, Joanna released her self-titled debut album, which had the number one single Leave(Get Out). Her second album The High Road was released in 2006. Her single Too Little Too Late reached number three on Billboard Hot 100. She is currently working on her third studio album.

Acting Career[]

JoJo has been acting since she was a child. She did local theater, radio, and TV commercials in the New England area, and national TV shows from age seven. At eight years old, she made her professional stage debut in Shakespeare's A Midsummer Night's Dream as Mustardseed at the Huntington Theater.

After guest staring on the Television shows The Bernie Mac Show and American Dreams, JoJo was cast in the film adaptation of Aquamarine in 2005. Her second film, RV, was a comercial success and grossed $69.7 million dollars. She stared in the Lifetime original movie True Confessions of a Hollywood Starlet, in which she played a troubled child star. She recently guest stared on an episode of Hawaii Five-0.
